Dances of India Wall Art

My mom put me in classical dance classes when I was 6yrs old. I went for classes for 11 years, even took part in group performances; but I think its safe to say..I have "two left feet" and art is what I truly enjoyed! :) So while am pretty sure I cant dance, the exposure to classical dance from a young age has stayed with me and its beauty still captivates me.

India has a rich cultural heritage and has 8 exquisite classical dance forms, characteristic of the region they originate from. They are Bharatanatyam(Tamil Nadu), Kathak (North India), Kathakali (Kerala), Kuchipudi (Andhra Pradesh), Manipuri (Manipur), Mohiniyattam (Kerala), Odissi(Odisha), and Sattriya (Assam). Each dance form varies in their costume, style of story telling, poses and gestures. This album is devoted to dance forms from India.
